Viva Success for Rachel Perry
16 January 2018
Congratulations to Rachel Perry who passed her PhD viva on Monday 8th January with minor corrections, and a glowing report from the external examiners about both her thesis and viva performance.
Rachel's thesis, entitled 'Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Primary Care: Practice, Attitudes and Effectiveness', was the culmination of her PhD by Published Work, bringing together and building on research conducted in her role as a Senior Systematic Reviewer in the Bristol Nutrition BRC.
For the project, Rachel re-examined four of her previously published systematic reviews; as well as conducting an additional systematic review, survey and further qualitative research into GPs' attitudes and practice of Complementary and Alternative Medicines, for example acupuncture, homeopathy and spinal manipulation.
Rachel's current publications can be found on the Explore Bristol Research website.
