Congratulations to second-year PhD student Josh Jenkins for his recent success in the Royal Microscopical Society Microscience Microscopy Congress 2017 poster competition.
Josh’s poster, titled Novel Bactericidal Titanium Surface to Combat Biofilm Associated Infections of Orthopaedic Implants, stood out from the other entries and was awarded first prize in the Life Sciences category.
Josh has also been approached by Microscopy and Analysis to discuss publishing his findings in the forthcoming issue of the journal.
This research forms part of Josh's MRC funded PhD into alternative approaches to combat biofilm associated infections of medical implants.
