The project was selected to represent Bristol in the 35st annual BDA/Dentsply Student Clinician programme, set up to promote and recognise excellence in undergraduate research. On the 2nd February at the BDA head office in London, each nominee presented their work in the form of a poster to respected clinicians from across the UK. The research on display was of a high quality, with many candidates having intercalated.
The award ceremony was held the following evening where there was an opportunity to discuss research with the dental community. Jonathan and Simon's project won third place, with an award for the clarity and professionalism as well as lifelong membership of the International Association of Student Clinicians.
