9th ACCIS & 1st NCC Annual Conference 2016 to be held at the National Composites Centre (NCC)

National Composites Centre (NCC)

We are pleased to announce that the 9th ACCIS & 1st NCC Annual Conference 2016 will be held on 13 September 2016 at the National Composites Centre.

The conference will take place at the National Composites Centre at the Bristol and Bath Science Park near Bristol, on Tuesday 13 September 2016.

The morning will consist of ACCIS presentations including an overview of our recent work by Prof. Michael Wisnom, a key note presentation by Prof. Ignaas Verpoest (KU Leuven), and a series of presentations covering the latest developments in topics such as nanoporus materials, morphing aerostructures and wrinkle defect formation.

The afternoon will be comprised of presentations from the NCC.  Dr Enrique Garcia will provide an overview of the centre and its current activities, followed by presentations on the NCC Core Research Programme and the four capability areas (Advanced Composites Manufacture, Design and Simulation, Digital Manufacturing, Automation and Tooling, and Materials and Processes).
