The "Scientific Background" for this year's Nobel Prize in Economics to Elinor Ostrom and Oliver Williamson, notes that "Williamson’s work has also inspired a wealth of research that seeks to articulate how conflicts are resolved within firms" and cites Halonen (2002) as a representative work in this line of research along with Kreps (1990), Baker, Gibbons and Murphy (2002), and Garvey (1995).
