About the Unit
Surgical Unit, Department of Clinical Sciences at South Bristol
The Surgical Unit in the Department of Clinical Sciences at South Bristol is based within the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Research in the Unit includes the pathogenesis and cellular biology of breast, prostate and gastrointestinal cancers; the value of surgical interventions and the measurement of quality of life in surgical patients. The Unit supports numerous clinical research programmes in oesophagogastric, pancreatic and breast cancers as well as vascular disease.
