Research in my lab focuses on a wide range of projects from molecular mechanisms of synaptic plasticity in the brain to pathological aspects of the central nervous system including Alzheimer’s disease. This is achieved through electrophysiological recordings of synaptic transmission, calcium imaging, molecular biology, cell culture, gene transfection, immunocytochemical techniques and MRI-brain volumetric imaging.

Research Key Words: Synaptic Plasticity, Excitatory Glutamate Receptor, Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor; Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor, Beta Amyloid, Stem-cell, Stress, MRI, Hippocampus, Perirhinal Cortex, Recognition Memory, Alzheimer's Disease.
