Paediatric Oncology

Staff in the Academic Department of Paediatric Oncology include two senior academics (Professor Mike Stevens, CLIC Professor of Paediatric Oncology, a post doctoral research fellow, two laboratory technicians, cancer registry (SWCCRR) administrator, two data managers, secretary / PA, research nurse and clinical trials administrator.

Activities include: a leukaemia research laboratory programme; international clinical trial leadership; European Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcoma Study Group (EpSSG); the South West Children's Cancer Research Registry; work for national and international organisations relating to aspects of childhood cancer care and research; and teaching.

Professor Michael Stevens MD (London), FRCP, FRCPCH, FRCR:

Interests in international clinical trials for paediatric soft tissue sarcoma; long term sequelae in survivors of childhood cancer; and standards of care and service delivery for children and young people with cancer.
