Needle Stick Injuries
Please remember NEVER re-sheath a needle after use as this is when injuries are most likely to occur.
In the event of a needle stick injury squeeze the area until your own blood comes out, wash, clean and cover the injury. If there is a possibility that you have been inoculated with blood or any other body fluid call the Needlestick Hotline 0117 928 4987.
In the case of the possibility of inoculation with any other biological material call the University Occupational Health Advisor on 0117 330 2572.
