The third year of your course you be carried out abroad at a university. You will study a variety of courses at your placement institution alongside distance learning material delivered through the Bristol ChemLabS Dynamic Laboratory Manual. A wide choice of destinations is available including the following universities where we have recently placed students:

Please note the following

  • Transfer to the Chemistry with Study in Continental Europe programme is possible for students taking an appropriate language unit in their first year of study.
  • Transfer to the Chemistry with Industrial Experience programme is not normally possible after the first term in the first year.
  • Due to the divergent nature of the Chemistry and Chemical Physics programmes, transfers to Chemical Physics are only possible during the first term of the first year and can only be considered for students who are taking Mathematics 1A20 and Mechanics & Matter as their optional units.
