Kyanite

These pink and blue lath-like crystals of kyanite, an alumino-silicate mineral, are from Karibib, in Namibia. Kyanite is typically found in aluminium-rich rocks that have been subjected to intense heat and pressure. It is seen here in association with crystals of mica.
