Big Bang Bristol on The One Love Breakfast
19 June 2017
Organiser Matthew Lee, and PhD Student Grace Edmunds chatted all things STEM on OneLove Breakfast this morning.
CMM's Grace Edmunds was on One Love Breakfast this morning with Matthew Lee to promote Big Bang Bristol, which we are supporting here in the School.
The Big Bang Fair is a programme of UK-wide events that get students excited about science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM subjects). The Big Bang Near Me programme (in which Bristol is participating for the very first time) plays a vital role in inspiring the UK’s future scientists and engineers at a regional, local and school level. The aim is to encourage those who are underrepresented in STEM subjects to continue their interest and propel them into further study and a successful career in STEM.
Trinity Centre will be playing host to the two-day STEM extravaganza which will be held on the 6th and 7th of July. There are 3 school sessions over both days and a public session open to all on Thursday 6th July from 3pm.
The School is one of the official supporters of Big Bang Bristol and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
If you missed their interview this morning, you can tune in via the radio station's website, just select the 8am session for 19/06/2017 - http://bcfmradio.com/olb
And if you're still undecided about whether to come along, Grace said 'There might be cake, but the science will be better'.
