Profile

At present John is an Associate Professor at ICU (International Christian University), Tokyo, where he teaches English literature. John will be returning to Bristol in April 2006. He previously taught in Japan in 1997 to 1998, at Japan Women's University and, briefly, at the University of Tokyo. Between these two periods he visited Japan annually on behalf of Bristol's International Recruitment Office, and have been involved in the setting up of links between Bristol and Japanese universities.
