Meghnad Desai, one of the world’s leading development economists, is a Professor Emeritus at the London School of Economics and a member of the House of Lords. At the LSE, Professor Desai has been Director of the Development Studies Institute and was the Founding Director of the Centre for the Study of Global Governance. His numerous publications include, Marx’s Revenge (Verso 2002), Global Governance and Financial Crises (Routledge 2003) and Development and Nationhood (Oxford University Press 2005).
