Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) Survey

About the survey

The survey we are asking you to take part in is a national survey of everyone who has recently qualified from any university or HE college in the UK. The information you provide will be very useful and will help us to advise our current and prospective students about the opportunities that might be available to them.

Of those who obtained qualifications across the UK in 2015/16, 78% responded to the survey. More results can be found on the HESA website.

If we don't hear from you we will try to contact you again, possibly by phone, so please let us know if you change your email address or phone number. If we can't get in touch with you at all, we may try to get information about what you were doing from someone else, either at the the University of Bristol or someone we can reach using the contact information you have previously provided. If you don't want us to do this, or you don't want to give us any information at all, please tell us. Below are details about what happens to your information after it is sent to us.

What happens to your information

The University of Bristol and its Careers Service will use the information gathered for general anonymised statistics for the benefit of current and prospective students of the University, graduates of the University, and employers. It will be displayed on University web sites, including the Careers Service web pages, but in such a way as to minimise the risk that you will be able to be identified from the data.

The data will be given to your University academic department and to Development and Alumni Relations, and it will be used in an anonymised format for subject review and quality assurance purposes.

The University of Bristol Careers Service may contact you about careers related matters, but your information will not be passed to third parties. The University of Bristol will treat the data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

We will send information from this survey to HESA. The uses that HESA makes of your survey responses are described in detail on their website.
