CRUK-funded Cancer Policy Research Centre Innovation grant

Congratulations to Caroline Wright, who is now Principal Investigator on a Cancer Research UK (CRUK)-funded Cancer Policy Research Centre (CPRC) Innovation grant. The 12-month £40 000 grant runts until February 2020.
The grant will:
- Develop a valid and reliable algorithm (targeted accuracy of 80%) to determine inaccurate risk perception information about the use of e-cigarettes for smoking cessation viewed by adult smokers on the in-ternet using Twitter and Google searches.
- Explore the impact of exposure to online misinformation regarding e-cigarettes on smokers’ knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, intentions to quit smoking tobacco & use e-cigarettes
Caroline will be working alongside Dr Bian - University of Florida, Dr Jennifer Dahne - Medical University of South Carolina, Olga Elizarova - Mad*Pow, Dr Andy Tan - Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Pippa Williams (Research Associate, Bristol) as part of this work.
