A Career in Curiosity?

4 February 2020, 6.00 PM - 4 February 2020, 7.30 PM

We The Curious, One Millennium Square, Anchor Rd, Harbourside, Bristol, BS1 5DB

To celebrate 20 years of We The Curious, join us at a special event to explore the influence of curiosity in education, work and culture.

About this Event
An audience of university students and business representatives are invited to hear a panel of specialist speakers from media, industry and academia debating how curiosity can:

  • provide us with the skills, tools and drive to make the most of new working opportunities
  • be a key vehicle in breaking down barriers to accessing STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths)
  • offer solutions to modern challenges, including climate change, the use of AI in technology and the influence of data in decision making

Attendees are welcome to stay after the panel discussion for drinks and networking. We will also be showcasing some of the work We The Curious is doing to transform public engagement in university research.

Panel Speakers

  • Tom Betts, Chief Data Officer at the Financial Times and Trustee at We The Curious.
  • Prof. Tansy Jessop, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education at the University of Bristol.
  • Precious Onyenekwu Tatah, President of the Students' Union at the University of the West of England.
