Digital Bristol Week returns with a brand new series of inspirational talks and free events across the city.


Explore the latest in digital content, get hands-on with new technology and take part in a range of masterclasses and workshops delivered by the BBC Academy, Spike IslandKnowle West Media CentreAt-BristolWatershedUniversity of BristolUWE and Skills West among others.

Festival of the Future City and Venturefest

Digital Bristol Week runs alongside the Festival of the Future City and VenturefestAll three events are joining forces this year to provide a special focus on smart cities and Bristol’s digital innovators and pioneers.

Throughout the week there will be opportunities to see the best in film and creative content made in Bristol. Digital Open Doors will give you a sneak peek behind the scenes at some of the city’s thriving creative businesses.

Opportunities for schools

Digital Bristol Week will for the first time offer access to school students and teachers in the west of England to boost their digital knowledge through tailored workshops and mentoring from BBC School Report in collaboration with Engine ShedRife Magazine and Knowle West Media Centre. The Bristol based sessions will take place on 17 and 18 October. If you are a teacher or work with young people and would like to express an interest in these sessions please email the school report team. 

Bringing together people who work in digitally creative industriesB

The week represents a fantastic opportunity to bring together everyone working in digitally creative industries in the city. It will promote cross-sector collaboration and networking, help foster new partnerships and allow you to develop your skills.
