Lectures and seminars

The University hosts a range of public lectures and seminars on sustainable development issues, featuring talks from academics, industrialists and leading environmental campaigners. Strong links have been formed with the Bristol Environmental Technology & Services Sector
(BETS) and regular events are organised to support the BETS networking programme, demonstrating how University research can be transferred to industry and the wider society. We also help to promote events being organised by student societies such as the Bristol University Sustainability Team (
BUST), which recently ran a highly successful lecture programme in the lead up to 2009 Copenhagen Summit, featuring talks from a range of leading environmental organisations such as Forum for the Future.
