Cabot academics win Wolfson Research Merit Awards

A couple of Cabot Institute academics have been successful in winning awards from the Royal Society this year.
Professors Thorsten Wagener (Engineering) and Paul Bates (Geographical Sciences) have each been awarded a prestigious Wolfson Research Merit Award from the Royal Society for their water/hazards themed projects. Both projects were awarded £75,000 each and will run until August 2022.
Thorsten's project is titled Understanding Hydrologic Services and Hazards in a Changing World and Paul's project will look at the development of the next generation of global flood inundation models.
