Kathy Cashman elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences

Many congratulations to Cabot Institute member Kathy Cashman, AXA Research Chair and Professor of Volcanology, who has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS).

The AAAS is considered the most prestigious honorary society in the USA. 

The 220 new members for 2012 also include the palaeomagnetist Dennis Kent, Andre Previn, Paul McCartney, and Hillary Clinton.
