Metamorphosis: painting a moth or butterfly life cycle

This six week course celebrates and disseminates the unique and fascinating natural phenomenon of butterfly and moth metamorphosis. Using watercolour painting and sketching techniques the course offers the added luxury of time to paint and sketch every stage of this amazing natural process. By the end of the course each student will produce a beautiful and unique artistic study that celebrates every stage, from egg through to adult including the plants intrinsically linked with this amazing process.

Each student will have access to their own high-powered microscopes, as well as the tutor’s large selection of insect specimens and macro photos. Tea and coffee provided and in addition the Devers Room Refreshments in the main house will be open for sandwiches, cake etc.
