Friends of the Garden support the work and development of the Garden and enjoy a number of privileges including free access and tours of the Garden, a winter lecture programme and a quarterly newsletter.

The Garden

The 1.77 hectare garden is the first new University botanic garden to be built in the United Kingdom for nearly forty years.

Plant collections

The 1.77 hectare garden is home to 4,500 species arranged in four core collections, to provide a unique teaching, research and conservation resource.

Glasshouses

The glasshouse represents a unique opportunity to cultivate plants from warmer climates and create a valuable teaching environment and visitor experience.
