Tackling health challenges together
Our research communities tackle challenges best addressed by interdisciplinary teams. Discover the work of some of these communities.
Health Data Science
Data and technology is all around us and can be used to understand and improve health services and treatments. Here we highlight impacts from our Health Data Science research strand and how we are using data for good.
Bioethics, Biolaw and Biosociety
This research strand dealt with the ethical, legal and social issues impacting the biological sciences, health, medicine and social care. It helped strengthen cross-collaborative initiatives already underway, and identify and nurture new research areas.
We developed new arts and humanities research by opening the door to arts-and-science collaborations by connecting researchers from all faculties together with clinicians and external partners.
Global Public Health
We are responding to the challenges of understanding and managing health problems in a globally connected world. Learn how a global collaborative network could help improve public health for all.
Building on clear areas of success in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) research across faculties, this research strand helped to expand Bristol’s diverse AMR research network to support future large-scale research funding opportunities.
