The School understands that students with disabilities are individuals with a wide and diverse range of needs. As a result we have chosen not to develop a blanket policy on disabilities but seek instead to provide a flexible range of resources and services that best meet the needs of each individual disabled student: needs will be assessed through discussion with the student, the School Disability Advisor and staff from Disability Services.
Where a student has disclosed a disability on their UCAS form, the Disability services will contact the applicant and invite them for interview. This will give both the applicant, Disability services and the School the opportunity to assess needs and requirements and allow them to undertake an audit of the available facilities. Applicants who choose not to disclose a disability on their UCAS form are strongly encouraged to make a disclosure as soon as possible, and before registration, to allow enough time to arrange the necessary support and funding.
