Why did you decide to apply for your course at Bristol?

It has an excellent reputation and it’s also quite local to where I am.

How did the open day help you to choose to study at Bristol?

The open day departmental talk was really useful. My dad came with me and said he wanted to study the course and he’s a chemical engineer!

What do you like best about your course?

It’s the variety and diversity of the course topics. Also you get to develop other skills like giving presentations and writing a CV that are going to be useful for work.

What would you say to a prospective student?

Take all the opportunities that lecturers give you – such as helping out with open days, etc. Lecturers/PhD students are always looking for volunteers to help with research and other projects.

This is useful experience for you degree but also help you develop skills that prepare you for work or life beyond university.
