BILT holds an annual conference, the theme changes each year and we invite internal and external guests to contribute.

The Compassionate Conference: transforming learning through pedagogies of care - 2022
Taking place on 28th July 2022 online the conference will explore how in difficult times we can take hopeful and compassionate approaches to teaching and assessment for transformational learning, both in person and on-line. -
The Connected Conference - 2021
The conference took place on 14th July 2021 on Zoom and explored how different connections have been established and nurtured, both in-person and online, and how we can take this forward into next year for both new and returning students. We focused on: Connecting with tutees, Connecting with the city, Connecting to the curriculum and Connecting with cohorts. Tales from the Digital Classroom: Teaching in Uncertain Times - 2020
This was the first BILT conference to take place virtually and was held on Blackboard on 4th July 2020. The aim of the conference was to: Share stories and experiences of online teaching in order to: reflect, inspire, learn together, encourage experimentation, harness uncertainty and learn from mistakes.
