Research Interests

Characterisation of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) progenitor cells

I have been researching in the Stem Cell R&D laboratory for just over four years. Our main aim is the understanding of ALL and the cells that maintain this disease. We have successfully developed a serum-free suspension culture system, which has allowed investigation of the phenotypic and functional capacities of ALL cells. We are attempting to characterise ALL stem cells to determine whether they have the same karyotype and genotype as the bulk ALL cell population.
