The Role of Gender in Narrative

Postgraduate conference

Friday 21 November 2011, 10 am to 12 pm

Location: Resource Room on the first floor of 43 Woodland Road, Bristol BS8 1UU.

This conference will aim to address students from the Drama: Theatre, Film and Television subject, and any other creative subject, to explore the role of gender within popular narrative. Participants will be influenced to bring many sources of popular culture to their attention.

The topics that will be explored are as follows:

Keynote address

Benjamin Moorman-Fuzi, a PhD student of the University of Bristol will present a keynote address.

Submissions

Attendance and submission of papers are free of charge. Please send a paper proposal of around 300 words by Friday 18 November 2011 to popularconferences@gmail.com. Submissions must include the author’s name, university institute, status (for example, PhD student, MA student, etc), and email address.

Applicants are also welcome to submit a review on the following: a film, song, computer game, television show, fiction novel, non-fiction publication, radio play broadcast, or theatre play.
