GCSE and A Level Classical Civilisation conference

8 March 2018, 9.30 AM - 8 March 2018, 2.45 PM

Wills Memorial Building

Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled. However, we are happy to run in-school GCSE Classical Civilisation workshops instead. Please contact h.walsh@bristol.ac.uk for more information.

Following on from the success of our inaugural GCSE and A Level Classical Civilisation conference last year, we will be holding this event again on Thursday 8th March 2018 in the Wills Memorial Building.

Topics for sessions will align closely to the new OCR specifications and therefore the event will be most directly relevant to students studying Classical Civilisation at GCSE or A Level. However, students studying Latin, Ancient Greek or Ancient History are very welcome to attend as well, as are those who are not yet studying any classical subjects but may wish to do so at university.

Thanks to better room availability, we can run separate sessions this year for GCSE and A Level students (as opposed to the joint sessions in 2017).

Full details of the GCSE and A Level programmes can be viewed here: 2018 Classical Civilisation conference programme (PDF, 529kB)

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To reserve places for your students, please email h.walsh@bristol.ac.uk or sign-up online here by 9th February.
