Ovid in the West Country Prize-giving

5 December 2018, 4.00 PM - 5 December 2018, 5.30 PM

Coutts Lecture Theatre, Wills Memorial Building, University of Bristol, Queens Road, Bristol, BS8 1RJ

The Ovid in the West Country competition is part of an initiative set up by the Cambridge Schools Classics Project (CSCP) to promote Classics in state schools. The Classics Hub at the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) are delighted to be partnering with CSCP to run this competition for Year 7 and 8 students in local schools.

This event is open to participating schools and is intended to celebrate all the hard work that students will have put into the competition. The submitted entries will be on display throughout the evening and prizes will be awarded by our panel of judges.

We are delighted to announce that this event will also feature a live ‘storytelling’ of Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Parents and guardians are very welcome to attend the prize-giving ceremony.
