Jorge Garcia del Valle, no sun, no moon

Neal Farwell, Shroud

David Ibbett, Europa

Karin de Fleyt and David Ibbett perform contemporary works for flute and electronics. In no sun, no moon, Jorge Garcia de Valle considers a world in which reality and parallel reality are indistinguishable as two sides of a mirror. Neal Farwell's Shroud responds to the poem of the same name by George Mackay Brown. The subtle text weaves threads of loss, experience and, ultimately, hope. The programme concludes with David Ibbett's Europa, which presents a dramatisation of a voyage to Jupiter’s sixth moon in search of microbial life beneath its icy surface.

Followed by a masterclass commencing at 2.15pm (open to the public).
