Dr Dorothy Price wins Tate network grant for Black British Art project
Dr Dorothy Price (PI) in conjunction with Helen Legg (Director, Spike Island), was successful in her recent application to establish a Tate sponsored network grant to promote the curatorial study of Black British Art since the 1980s. The project will bring the artist Lubaina Himid together with a team of curators from Spike Island, Museum of Modern Art, Oxford and Nottingham Contemporary to consider the outcomes of their 3-part multi-regional exhibitions of Himid's work during Spring 2017. A particular focus of the project activities will be evaluating the galleries' engagements with non-traditional audiences.
