Senior Teaching Fellow Jenny McNamara shortlisted for the Students' Award for Outstanding Teaching
28 July 2017
Dr Jenny McNamara has been nominated for the 2nd year in a row for the Students’ Award for Outstanding Teaching in the Bristol Teaching Awards
Congratulations to Jenny McNamara who was voted for the 2nd year in succession by students for the Students Award for Outstanding Teaching. Though she narrowly missed out to another nominee this is a massive achievement to be one of three to have been nominated within the Faculty of Health Sciences.
This is what students had to say about Jenny:
"Jenny's passion for her subject is evident in the detail and attention that she puts into her lectures and practicals; "all the lectures she gives are engaging, full of extra resources to expand our learning and are especially interesting because she gives them clinical relevance". She ensures that the content is engaging and accessible and invests time with her students to "ensure that any questions we have are answered, and any confusion is cleared up". An enthusiastic lecturer, Jenny's "passion for the subject she teaches, as well as that for animals, is well respected on the course".
