Since being set up in 1982 by a group of staff and alumni, the Alumni Foundation has now paid out more than £1.25m in awards.
The Alumni Foundation supports the extra-curricular activities that make Bristol such an exciting and vibrant place to be. Sports clubs, cultural societies, theatre productions, new magazines: all of these and more have been funded in the past.
Postgraduate students are helped with travel costs to present their work at conferences throughout the world. 83 awards, of up to £400 each, were made in 2010-11
