At this event, Professor Gianni Angelini (MD MCh FRCS FETCS F Med Sci), head of the Bristol Heart Institute (BHI), talked about his pioneering techniques and how the future of scientific developments could revolutionise treatment. He was joined by Dr Tyfield, a patient of the BHI, who gave a first-hand overview of the impact of heart disease and the hope that modern science can bring.
