The inaugural Alumni Awards will recognise and celebrate the notable and groundbreaking achievements of our leading alumni and friends through their business and sporting endeavours, their transformative contributions to improving the lives of local communities and supporting the continued growth of the University of Bristol.

We are delighted to announce that Sir David Attenborough will be conferred with the Alumni Award for Lifetime Achievement at this event. Sir David was awarded an honorary degree in 1977 and has had a long-standing relationship with the University and the city since then. Sir David is not only Britain's best-loved broadcaster, with a career spanning almost six decades, he is an educator who has inspired generations to care about our planet – an accomplishment synonymous with our own mission.

The Gala Dinner will be co-hosted by Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Hugh Brady and Lord Mayor of the City of London, alumnus Peter Estlin (BSc 1982).  We are grateful to Peter for providing this splendid landmark venue and so generously sponsoring the occasion.

A Champagne Reception will be followed by a delicious three-course dinner to accompany the Award presentations.  We hope you will want to join us as we honour some truly inspirational alumni.
