Manor Hall Summer Ball 2018: In Honour of Dr Martin J Crossley Evans MBE JP

2 June 2018, 6.00 PM - 3 June 2018, 3.00 AM

Manor Hall, Lower Clifton Hill, Clifton, BS8 1BU

The Manor Hall Association’s Summer Ball is the highlight of the MHA annual events calendar and welcomes all current and former students to celebrate the end of another academic session of the University.

This year also marks an extra special occasion. In January 2018, Dr Martin J Crossley Evans MBE JP, retired as Warden of Manor Hall and its annexes after an extraordinary 33 years. He retires as the longest-serving Warden in the history of the University after 100 terms in office. Generations of our alumni have benefited from his wit and wisdom and the unique community that we share owes itself to him.

The Summer Ball 2018 will be held in his honour as a small way of saying thank you and to wish him well for his retirement. All current and former residents of Manor Hall are invited to this black-tie event at the place where it all began to send him off in style!

This year's Ball will be on Saturday 2 June in Manor Hall and will include:

  • Garden Drinks Reception
  • Dinner followed by Cheese & Port
  • Live Entertainment
  • DJ Set Until Late
  • Silent Disco
  • PokerSoc
  • And more...

More details will follow in due course as plans are still underway. See the Facebook Event for all the latest developments.
