Beijing alumni: career expert panel

Join your fellow alumni for a career expert panel and networking reception in Beijing on Friday 7 April 2017 from 7 pm.

Stuart Johnson, Director of the University of Bristol Careers Service, will host a careers and employability panel event – specifically designed to help and advise those within the Economics, Finance and Management industries – for recent graduates.

Stuart will be joined by a panel of Bristol alumni experts and academics from the School of Economics, Finance and Management here at the University. This will be a great opportunity to find out the answers to your questions about job hunting, taking the next step in your career and what careers in the Economics, Finance and Management industries are really like.

Our panel of experts will share their own advice and experience, to help you stand out as an individual, and make the most of your Bristol degree. The panel will be chaired by Professor Paddy Ireland, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.

Our career experts include:

  • Vickie Chen (MSci Economics and Finance 2012), Consultant, Accenture
  • Stephen Fang (MSc Communication Systems and Signal Processing 2007), Studio Manager, Gameloft China
  • Henry Guo (MSc Finance & Investment 2014), Executive Director, boutique investment bank
  • Jianqian Huang (MSc Finance & Investment 2010), Investment Analyst, International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group

This event is open to all alumni, but will be most suited to recent graduates having graduated from the School of Economics, Finance and Management or working in those fields.

The panel event, starting at 7 pm, will be followed by a networking reception for all alumni at 8 pm. This will be a further chance to make new professional connections from within the alumni network – more details about this part of the evening are below.
