Your role as a Telethon Fundraiser is to ask graduates who studied at Bristol for charitable donations towards the University. In addition you will inform them about what is currently happening at Bristol and answer any queries that they may have. Learn about projects the Telethon helps to fund.
Please note that the Telethon requires fluent English speakers. If you wish to gain employment in order to improve your English language skills please refer to the Careers Service pages which may offer alternative choices for you.
The Autumn and Spring campaigns run for 5 weeks during the following hours:
You will be paid at £7.41 per hour plus an extra 12.5 per cent ‘holiday pay’ bonus which will be paid in a lump sum at the end of the campaign on completion of your contract. All students are paid on a monthly basis. Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer weekly wages.
We will be re-advertising for new callers in September 2013.
Exact dates for the Autumn 2013 Campaign are still to be confirmed. Interviews take place around the middle of October. If you are unable to attend an interview on the dates we advertise, we will not be able to consider your application.
All successful applicants must attend two general training sessions which take place in the week before calling starts. The sessions are on a Tuesday and a Wednesday from 6.30pm to 9pm. Applicants must also attend a software training session which will take place on the Thursday and the Saturday before calling starts.
