When competition for jobs is particularly fierce, it's more crucial than ever to have the right career advice and make good use of the resources available to you. That’s why, for the first three years after graduation, Bristol's Careers Service offers a wide range of free services and fantastic events to help you along your career path, whether taking your first step, or changing direction.
Getting insights into your chosen industry, as well as relevant work experience, really pays off. The Careers Network is an invaluable tool which allows recent Bristol alumni and current students to network with over 700 alumni in a range of industries, from marketing to merchant banking, environmental science to educational psychology, as well as former Bristol research staff. Many members are in a position to offer work experience placements or vacation work, and all are happy to offer informal advice exclusively to Bristol alumni and students. This service is free to all recent alumni who register with the careers service.
If you’ve recently graduated but aren’t sure what you would like to do with your degree, or would just like some inspiration, why not check out the destinations of fellow graduates in your discipline? Alternatively, if you know what you want to do, but don’t know how to get there, our 'I want to work in' section can give you advice about the next steps to achieving your dream job.
Recent graduates can also browse the current vacancies advertised on the Careers Service website.
