Miss. S. Ross-Smith: FFAST Project Administrator

Sophie graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Biology in 2008. She subsequently worked at Goldney Hall, one of Bristol student residences. In September 2010 she joined the Faculty of Engineering  working as the administrator for the FP7 Future Fast Aeroelastic Simulation Technologies (FFAST) project. The project started in January 2010 and is a 36 month project, coordinated by Dr A. Gaitonde and Dr D. Jones. FFAST is funded by the European Community’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7 / 2007-2013) and is a collaborative research project aimed at developing, implementing and assessing a range of numerical simulation technologies to accelerate future aircraft design. The partners in FFAST are: University of Bristol, INRIA, CSIR, TU Delft, DLR, IRIAS, University of Liverpool, Politecnico di Milano, NUMECA, Optimad Engineering, Airbus, EADS-MS and IITP.
