Several of our partnership owned properties have Glide internet provided. This includes Brunel House, Marlborough Street, Orchard Heights and Riverside. The 50 Mbps Glide service is included in your rent.
StudentCom also gives you over 30 TV channels and allows you to make phone calls through your computer if you upgrade to its Freewire service.
How does it work?
You will be given a cable that connects your computer to the Internet connection. You can use the Glide service straight away, all you need to do is:
- Plug the cable in to your computer and in to the Internet cable socket (near your desk).
- Once you've done this you will be taken to the Glide portal where you will need to set up an account to start browsing.
What is the upgrade service and how do I get it?
The 50 Mbps connection is included in your rent. This is great for browsing the web and sending emails. But if you want to do more than that, like play online games, download files and music; you can do it faster by upgrading to a premium package (please note that upgrading at Waverley House will only increase the cabled connection bandwidth, not the open WiFi speed).
Log in to your Glide account and follow the instructions to upgrade.
