Finding Accommodation
IMPORTANT WARNING!
There are a number of scams operating in the UK which involve criminals posing as landlords and collecting "rent" for properties they do not own. You should never transfer or hand over money unless you are absolutely sure that the person accepting the money can let the property to you. See http://gumtree.force.com/Help/knowledgeSafe.
We can help students looking for accommodation by providing the following resources:
- Use our Property Search to look for private rented accommodation registered with us by private landlords. There's everything from single rooms to large houses. All landlords registered with us have signed a code of good practice and won't charge a large agency fee!
- If you are looking for a group to share with or need another person to fill up your house or flat, visit our student Bulletin Board to view messages posted by other students or to post your own message.
- If you wish to live with a host family, you will need to arrange this yourself. Hosts International is a private company offering this type of accommodation. It is not linked to the University and inclusion on this website should construed as a recommendation, but only as another option to consider.
- Information about other sources of accommodation including bed and breakfast/hotel accommodation.
