20/21 flexible arrivals for International students terms and conditions
Terms and conditions
On accepting your accommodation offer you must pay £800 rent in advance to the University. This amount will be credited to your account and therefore deducted from your first rent payment.
The rent in advance payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.
You are able to move into your room any time from the tenancy start date (Friday 18 September) until 16 December. Rent will become payable from 26 September or the day that you move in (whichever is later).
Your tenancy end date is fixed regardless of the date that you move in.
If you do not move into your room by 8.00 pm on 16 December then your room booking will be cancelled and your rent in advance payment will not be returned.
Provided that you have not collected the keys for your accommodation you may cancel your booking by writing or sending an e-mail to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, at any time during the 7 days after you have paid your Rent in Advance. If you do that, we will return your Rent In Advance payment to you.
If more than 7 days have passed since you paid your Rent in Advance you may cancel your tenancy but we will retain your Rent in Advance payment.
If you have occupied the Room and want to cancel your tenancy, you will be charged up to £100.00 to cover our reasonable costs of preparing the Room and Tenancy for the replacement Tenant. If no replacement Tenant is found for your Room we will be entitled to retain your Rent in Advance until all amounts due under your Tenancy Agreement have been paid.
