Key responsibilities:
- Development and delivery of all processes relating to student administration, including those pertaining to student registration, student funding, timetabling, examinations, student filing and introductory arrangements for new students.
- Production of the University Almanac and Annual Education and Students Cycle (Appendix A and Appendix B).
- Student number planning and submission of statutory student returns.
- Liaison with Faculty and School Offices regarding all aspects of student administration.
- Chair of the Education Management Group (EMG).
- Functional head for the Student Funding Office, the Examinations Office and the Student Systems and Information Office.

Key responsibilities:
- Publications for new students (registration guides, student handbook, map/travel guide).
- Website for new students.
- Coordination of central timetable for Introductory Week.
- Coordination of other activities relating to new students (e.g. registration, UCard distribution).
- Secretary to Education Management Group (EMG).
- Liaison with Bristol City Council regarding Council Tax exemption for students.
- Liaison with Students' Union.
