- Leonardo da Vinci projects support vocational training within the EU Lifelong Learning framework.
- Erasmus Mundus provides for EU joint masters degrees, providing EU-funded scholarships for third country nationals and for EU nationals studying in third countries.
- The Jean Monnet programme 'stimulates teaching, research and reflection on European integration at higher education institutions throughout the world. With projects across the five continents, the programme reaches up to 250 000 students every year'.
The University has participated in a number of European projects in recent years. One of the largest was the MEDINE thematic network, which looked at tuning medical education across Europe and beyond.
