Case studies of personal tutoring models

In the case studies the personal tutoring models of 6 schools at the University are reviewed. This research was set up to get a better understanding of the different models of personal tutoring found at the University, what works, and how the specific context of a school, such as average contact hours or the number of compulsory units, has shaped the personal tutoring system.

The following 6 schools are taking part:

  • Bristol Veterinary School
  • School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine
  • School of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Engineering Mathematics
  • School of Humanities
  • School of Physics
  • School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies

Want to get involved?

If you are a student in one of the 6 schools and would like to be involved, you can fill in our survey. We are looking to talk to undergraduate students in the six schools listed above. We would also like to hear from joint honours students who are enrolled with one of the schools for part of their degree.
