The Guardian publishes Anna's article: "Bed sharing with babies – is it safe?"
Press release issued: 18 March 2015
Anna Pease is a Phd student within the Centre for Child and Adolescent Health and is studying parental decision-making for the infant sleep environment. More than half of all parents will find themselves sharing a sleep space with their babies at some point in the first six months, and advice “for” or “against” bed sharing can be an emotive and divisive topic. The article argues that if we are to understand the risks associated with bed sharing, we need to consider why parents are sleeping with their infants. The Guardian published the article in March, to coincide with The Lullaby Trust’s Safer Sleep week – a national campaign to raise awareness of safer infant sleep.
