Introduction from the Warden

Welcome to the Wills Hall web pages! I hope you find the information you want here, whether you are a student, a potential hall member, someone who used to live here and is interested in keeping in touch, someone coming on a conference here, or indeed someone interested in organising a conference or some other event here. Please feel free to get in touch with us. E-mail messages are probably now the easiest way to do this.

The hall is certainly a good place for conferences, but for me it is really at its best when it is full with 340 student members! There is a tremendous vibrancy about life here in term time, with lots of events of all kinds going on the whole time. My policy as warden is to develop as diverse a student community as possible, and to encourage activities that bring hall members together. The hall has a reputation for its friendliness; those who live here invariably look back on their time in hall with real gratitude. We have a Wills Link scheme to keep former members in touch while still undergraduates, and then there is a Hall Association for graduates, with members going right back to the foundation of the hall in 1929.

Wills Hall has some fine buildings and beautiful grounds. As warden I am responsible for all aspects of hall life, but I'm glad to say we have an excellent team of senior common room tutors and staff which I feel privileged to lead.
